Leah Clark Animal Artist

Leah Clark is an artist specializing in realistic and abstract depictions of animals in various art forms from pencils to acrylic paint, pastels to mixed media. In addition to creating custom commissioned works, Leah creates original works for local exhibitions drawing from her experience as a horse trainer, elephant handler, and zoo keeper.

Wild Ink: Mustang Series

“Wild Ink: Mustang Series” is an illustration series depicting mustangs of the American West. These illustrations were created with India ink on 184 lb mixed media paper. A traditional pen and ink nib were used to create the pen and ink drawings, with some brush work for shading and texture. The inspiration for the series came from the artist’s move to Denver, CO in 2018. The title of each drawing reflects the emotion the horse or horses are expressing the artwork.
